● IR52 Jang Young Shil Award/ Wasol’s 3D motion picture camera adapter

● The 3D motion picture camera adapter developed by Wasol Co., Ltd was selected by the  14th week of 2006 IR52 Award

The product is an essential part of the devices used in 3D visual content industry, robot industry for 3d visual devices, and the defense industry for unmanned reconnaissance vehicle, remote medical operation, and personal media creation with digital camcorders.

Previously, 3D movie production needs 2 cameras that should be synchronically operated which, therefore, cause many difficulties and low quality pictures, and displeased many producers.
Wasol had spent 4 years to develop the adapter to create one integrated system that enable to control all the functions including focusing, zooming, etc. synchronically
The person form Wasol explained, “The new adapter gives much mobility because it can be set up within 5 minutes, and provides natural 3D view to human eyes.

The experts expected that the large portion of the 1,300 billion in image production market would be tuned from 2D images pictures to 3D pictures.
If the 3D display systems that are being developed in the visual device industry are successfully launched on the market, the need of the Wasol’s adapter would be maximized
In Korea DMB has an application of the adapter have been already mass-produced and also tested by broadcasting 3D images.
The Wasol’s device was applied to the commercial movie production by NHK, Asahi, and Fuji TV in Japan and to the 3D movie production by Han Maek Movie Co., which brought the technological acknowledgement in the field.
